What are your hours of operation?    

Due to Gail's location shoots, travel, workshops, etc., the gallery hours hours will vary. Please call us at 972 233-7437 to arrange an appointment.

How do I schedule photo session?    

Call 972 233-7437 and we will be happy to explain the session process in detail and book your appointment.

How early should I arrive?     

To enjoy the full value of your photo-shoot experience, we suggest you arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Starting your session on time allows you to receive the full benefit of your complete and unhurried service.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?    

At times it may be necessary for you to cancel your photo session appointments. Cancel your appointment at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. No-shows and late cancellations will result in the service cost being billed to your credit card. You will not be charged if we can fill your space. A credit card guarantee or gift certificate card number is required on all appointments.

What forms of payment do you accept?    

• We accept cash, checks, Master Card and Visa as payment for services.
• Your Sitting Fee is due at the time you make your appointment.
• 100% paid in full at the time you place your order for prints and/or framing.
• 100% satisfaction is guaranteed or your money is refunded.

Do you offer gift certificates?    

You may purchase gift certificates for specific services, or for any amount over $100.

Can I review my photo portrait proofs online?    

No. One of the things that differentiates the quality of our work from others is that we only work with film. Since we do not work with digital images, our proofs are not available for viewing online.

What is the entire photo portrait process like?    

We schedule at least two appointments with our clients:

Portrait Session (1 - 1.5 hours):

During the portrait session, you will experience the magic of Gail Nogle. Gail's style and technique set her a part from other photographers. She has a natural way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera, allowing her to capture the moments and expressions of a lifetime. Please plan on spending an hour to an hour and a half for this session.

Projection Presentation (2 hours):

Lastly, in about 2 weeks, you will be able to view the images of your family/children in our studio. This will be done in a large format so that you will be able to see how each photograph looks in different sizes.

During this time, I will provide you with guidance on the different poses, background, as well as go over the different finishes and frames that are available. This is an important and exciting time so please bring everyone involved in making the portrait decisions and allow 2 hours for this presentation.

Your finished portraits will be available for you approximately 8 weeks after your selection.

How old should an infant be for your Mother & Infant portraits? ?    

Your baby should be under 3 weeks old for this Fine Art Portrait of mother and infant.

How should I prepare for the portrait session? ?    

Be prepared to be comfortable, we want you to enjoy your studio experience!

We provide the following tips on how to look your best. Keep in mind that portraits are best when the viewer's eye is drawn to your face!

Clothing Color & Style Make the Difference:

• Darker shades are more slimming
• Wear something with sleeves, bare shoulders or tops with "spaghetti straps" often make the subject appear heavier
• Solid colors are best: Stripes, plaids, checks, and bold prints draw the eye away from the face

Express Yourself and Your World - Bring your:

• Musical Instruments
• Fresh flowers to make your portrait come alive
• Art supplies & paintings
• Theatrical garb - Dance costumes
• Cheerleading outfit - Athletic uniforms - Sports gear
• Horse tack and riding gear
• Favorite hats
• Pets
• Whatever makes you unique
• Or, just bring yourself!

Hair

Wear your hair in your most comfortable style. Have your hair cut around a week before your session is scheduled. Don't try a new hairstyle just for your session.

Skin Conditions

Don't worry if you develop a blemish. Our finished portraits can be fully retouched to eliminate blemishes and soften harsh lines.

Glasses

Problems with glasses can lead to extra retouching charges. We can remove normal glare on glasses, but tinted lenses cannot be lightened. Ask your optometrist for a pair of empty frames to wear for your portrait session.

Girls

Makeup can affect the way your portrait looks. Both fresh, natural makeup and "evening" makeup both photograph well.

Boys

A fresh shave is a must. If you have a beard or mustache, trim it to your liking.

I love the photos on your web site. May I copy them?    

Not without prior permission. This Web site contains material that is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Gail Nogle Photo's site is for your personal, noncommercial use.
