Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw UNT Scholarship Fund
Happy Hill Farm, located just south of Granbury, serves as a licensed residential treatment facility and private academy for at-risk students, many of whom have come from broken homes or have been victims of abuse and neglect. The scholarship fund, named in honor of Phil McGraw and his wife Robin, is part of an initiative undertaken by Bataille to create more need-based undergraduate scholarships. Dr. Phil, a proud alumnus, is a dedicated supporter of Happy Hill Farm.
While attending the announcement of the fund, Gail cornered Dr. Phil for a few photos.

Gail's "Shoots" Extreme Make-over Home Edition
Changing Lives in Oklahoma
Put together one very run-down house, a deserving family, several opinionated designers, seven days and what do you get? The answer is Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The show has won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality Program, plus two People's Choice Awards and the Family Television Award for Best Alternative/Reality Program.
Each episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who all have just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house - every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping. The lives of the lucky families are forever changed when they learn that they've been selected to have their home walls moved, their floors replaced and even their facades radically changed.
Viewers witness not only the unbelievable transformation of the house, but during the final and emotional reveal, they see how the home makeover has impacted the lives of the deserving families.

Gail Chronicles Hurricane Ike in Galveston
Hurricane Ike barrelled into the densely populated Texas coast near Houston early on Saturday, bringing with it a wall of water and ferocious winds and rain that flooded large areas along the Gulf of Mexico and paralyzed Houston, the fourth-largest U.S. city. Galveston took the brunt of the storm as it emerged from the Gulf of Mexico on September 13, 2008. When it was safe to enter the city, Gail grabbed her camera and headed south to chronicle in photos, one of the most extreme weather events ever to hit the Texas coast.

What is Happy Hills Farm?
Happy Hill Farm Academy/Home is a licensed, accredited, residential school that provides very specialized help to children who need another chance in life. Happy Hill Farm is not a correctional institution nor a prep school for the privileged. The program does not simply “lock up” children and postpone the estimated $94-billion secondary tax burden on society. Happy Hill Farm’s program changes the lives and direction of at-risk children, so that they will become productive citizens rather than an ongoing burden on society. A variety of staff professionals (including psychology, medical, social work, therapy, educational, nursing, vocational, and athletic) work in concert to address the overall needs of each student. More than 100 children live at the Farm and attend a fully-accredited (K-12) private academy.
